Take Part

Entry to HCDF is open to all amateur theatre groups, youth theatre groups and educational establishments in and around the county of Hereford - groups from surrounding counties are very welcome.

Here are a few things you'll need to know when you complete and submit the entry form:

•    It's £10 to enter one play
•    If you'd like a written adjudication (in addition to the verbal one you'll      receive at the festival) then it's an additional £25
•    Please bring your play license with you on the day
  • You will also need to have suitable Public Liability insurance for your group
•    Your play must have at least two characters – so no monologues.       There's no upper limit. Your play must also be between 20 and 50 minutes in length.
•    When you enter, you'll be asked to declare whether you'd like to go forward to the next and subsequent rounds of the All England Theatre Festival if you come first or second in HCDF.
•    We must have a copy of the final version of your play in advance
